Reflections from Amanda Murray

Amanda is the first person you meet when you approach our tent. She's got a friendly face and a warm demeanor, and sets a lovely tone for the whole project. Here are her reflections on last Saturday:
I had an interesting perspective on this Saturday's event, greeting everyone that came up to or through our tent. People were timid and curious for the most part. I could see the faces change as people started to understand or were stumped by what our mission is. I knew that this would sit with them for at least a moment or two after walking away. Maybe this afternoon they'll tell a friend about this bizarre thing they saw at the farmer's market and consider for a moment what it means and maybe what it means for them to be white. We were something remarkable that day.
